Sonya Sweeney, Occupational Therapist

Advanced Practice in Sensory Inegration
Sonya Sweeney began working at Lattice in January 2018 as an occupational therapist. She earned her Master's of Occupational Therapy from Samuel Merritt University in December of 2013 and became licensed in February 2014. She completed her advanced practice in Sensory Integration from USC in spring of 2019. Sonya has experience across multiple different settings, from the medical post-acute setting, psychosocial setting with a focus on Dementia, to pediatrics. In 2018, she transitioned to a full-time pediatric occupational therapist. She hopes to continue her growth of knowledge and pursue research opportunities by her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree within the next 5 years.
Bridget Kowalski, Behavior Specialist
B.A. Communicative Disorders
Bridget began working at Lattice in 2019. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Communicative Disorders with a Minor in Special Education and her Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. (BCBA). Bridget has 6 experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. In the future, Bridget plans to return to school to get her doctorate and hopes to eventually work as a support for first responders using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Brennan Pryor, Program Supervisor
M.S. Applied Behavior Analysis
Brennan began working at Lattice in December 2016 and currently works as a Program Supervisor in the Group Behavior Management Program. Brennan earned a Bachelor's in Psychology from Sonoma State University in June 2015, and a Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis & Autism from The Sage Colleges in December 2020. Brennan is working on acquiring his Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential, which he hopes to achieve in 2021.
Kate Tharler, RN
Kate began working at Lattice in 2016 as a credentialed school nurse and CPR instructor. She received her School Nurse credential in 2003, after earning an Associates in General Science and a BSN in nursing in 2006. Kate also recieved the US Navy Dedicated Nursing Award the same year. In addition to her work with Lattice, Kate also works at several non-public and charter schools doing IEP assessments, vision and hearing screenings, staff training, and CPR certification training. Her future goals are to travel and spend more time with her grandson.
Maria Matos, OT
Maria began working at Lattice in December 2020. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Managment of Medical Profressionals from Pacific Union College in 2017, and her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2020. She is certified through NBCOT and CBOT. Maria's aspiration is to further her knowledge in special needs educational services through her work at Lattice.
Kahlia Bashi, Behavioral Support Personnel
B.S. - Psychology
Kahlia Bashi began working for Lattice in 2017, and is currently one of our Behavioral Support Personnel and our WorkAbility Coordinator. She earned her bachelor’s in psychology at Sonoma State University In 2017, and is currently enrolled at Arizona State University to receive her master’s in special education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Amy Fuller, Behavior Specialist
M.A. Applied Behavior Analysis
Amy began working at Lattice in 2018. She received her Bachelors Degree from Sonoma State University, her Masters Degree from The Sage Colleges, and is currently a working on a Ph.D in Applied Behavior Analysis at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Amy has been working in the field of Special Education for 16 years. She is currently conducting research on providing training to law enforcement personnel on how to respond to calls involving individuals with developmental disabilities, primarily autism. Upon completion of her PhD, she hopes to expand this research to first responders and continue advancement of such training using scenario-based learning platforms.
Devin Beard, Behavioral Support Personnel
B.S. Human Development
Devin returned to Lattice in 2018 as a Behavior Support Personnel in the Group Behavior Management Program. Devin has a Bachelor's degree in Human Development from Utah State University and is a Registered Behavior Technician. He has been in the field of special education since 2013, working with a variety of individuals and needs. Since returning to Lattice, Devin has been working on a Master's of Special Education (ABA), and will graduate Fall of 2021. He hopes to pursue his BCBA certification in the near future.
Zoe Brooker, OT
Zoe began working at Lattice about a year ago. She received her degree in Occupational Therapy from Brunel University in England in 2006. She has over 24 years of experience working in Special Education. Zoe has worked as an OT in Colorado, Hawaii, and Claifornia, as well as her own private pratice. She is currently studying reflex integration and hopes to complete Jean Ayres Sensory Integration certification soon.
Lindsey Foss, SLP
Speech and Language Pathologist
Lindsey started working for Lattice in August of 2020 as a speech-language pathologist. She earned her Master’s Degree at Idaho State University, and has since worked in the medical setting with focus on swallowing, NICU feeding, and early intervention. Lindsey has special interest in post-NICU (early intervention) feeding and has goals to grow her experience in this area.
Gabriela Bourde, Curriculum Development Specialist
B.A. - Psychology, Sociology
Credential - Moderate/Severe Education Specialist
Gaby has worked in special education for 17 years. She was previously a teacher at Lattice. Gaby currently assists Lattice in the areas of curriculum development and teacher support.
